The new land-sea passage in western China has continued to see growth in foreign trade, up 17.9 perc

Chongqing, November 13 (Reporter Li Xiaoting) - It was learned at the opening of the 2025 Land-Sea New Corridor Economic Development Forum on the 13th that from January to October this year, the total value of imports and exports through the Western Land-Sea New Corridor reached 1.35 trillion yuan, an increase of 17.9% over the same period last year. 

The Land-Sea New Corridor Economic Development Forum is an important platform for the collaborative construction mechanism of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor, which has been held in Chongqing for three consecutive years. Data released by the General Administration of Customs at the opening ceremony of the forum showed that since 2019, the annual growth rate of the total import and export value of the provinces and municipalities along the Western Land-Sea New Corridor has reached 16.9%.

 Zhao Zenglian, Deputy Director-General of the General Administration of Customs, introduced in his speech that as one of the earliest government departments involved in the construction of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor, the Customs Administration has supported the establishment of 46 comprehensive bonded zones along the corridor and approved the opening of 108 ports. With high-level platforms, modern ports, and other basic elements supporting its development, the economic and trade industries along the corridor have continued to grow.
