On July 27, Shandong provincial government held a press conference to introduce the situation of RCEP regional import commodities Expo and answer reporters' questions.

RCEP regional (Shandong) import commodities Expo is the first Expo with the theme of imported commodities held for RCEP countries in our province. It will be held in our city from August 27 to 29.

It is reported that in 2020, the total import and export value of our province to RCEP member countries reached 774.3 billion yuan, an increase of 12.6%, accounting for 35.2% of the total import and export value of our province. Focusing on seizing the major opportunities of RCEP, the provincial government issued the early action plan for the implementation of the regional comprehensive economic partnership agreement, and put forward the work requirements for establishing RCEP import commodities Expo and cultivating high-end cooperation platforms for commodity procurement, industrial technology and investment promotion.

The Expo is jointly sponsored by Linyi Municipal People's government, Provincial Department of Commerce and Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, with an exhibition area of 25000 square meters and 1200 standard booths.

Holding the first RCEP regional import commodities Expo can give play to the advantages of our city in market procurement, exhibition economy, trade and logistics, and drive our province to expand imports from RCEP regional countries.

With the theme of "new pattern, new platform, new trade opportunities", the Expo sets up three pavilions: International Pavilion, brand Pavilion and high-quality commodity pavilion to display RCEP national and regional image and well-known brand products, focusing on creating imported commodity types such as daily chemicals and mother and baby products. The Expo implements the rotation system of the host and guest countries to promote the cultural tourism, characteristic products, cultural and folk customs of the host and guest countries. At the same time, it will also hold 2021 RCEP regional international cooperation and exchange meeting, RCEP regional merchants negotiation and promotion meeting, featured product online Red live selection meeting, the first Linyi intelligent logistics technology round table forum, "fragrant and mellow experience" coffee selection meeting, Linyi import Commodity City Shopping Festival "Hospitable Shandong" flash activities, etc.
