A China-Europe freight train carried with vehicles and parts, bicycles, machinery spare parts, and daily necessities left north China's Tianjin Municipality on April 1, heading to Mongolia after passing through border port Erenhot in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, marking the 100th freight trains departing from Tianjin this year.

Tianjin port has been committed to simplifying the customs clearance procedures of the freight trains, to ensure the timely and orderly freight services. The port has handled a total of 11,604 containers of goods in the first quarter of 2021, up 7.8 percent from the same period last year.

With China's flourishing foreign trade since the year begins, Tianjin has made full use of its role as the junction of land-sea of the Belt and Road (B&R) routes, and the economic corridor of the New Eurasian Land Bridge to enhance the capacity of the service industry chain.

Tianjin has launched three China-Europe freight train routes passing through China's major border ports including Manzhouli, Erenhot and Alataw, deepening the economic and trade cooperation with the B&R countries.
