Cambodia to launch "2021-2023 economic recovery plan"

On May 20, 2021, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said at the 26th "the future of Asia" international forum that the Cambodian government intends to launch the "2021-2023 economic recovery plan" to promote sustainable and inclusive economic growth.

The plan will ensure Cambodia's peace, security, social stability, as well as the normalization of public order, enhance its economic competitiveness, and promote diversified economic development. In particular, it will build a strong industrial base with strong export capacity and close ties with the world and regional industrial chain; Priority should be given to laying a solid foundation for economic recovery, focusing on ensuring the safe operation of the most seriously affected sectors and creating more employment opportunities as soon as possible; Continue to implement key reform measures in the areas of investment, business and promoting digital development in the public and private sectors; Focus on building a strong health and social security system, and continue to improve the ability to cope with diseases or similar situations that may occur in the future.
