The launch ceremony of Chinese enterprises in the Industrial Park invested and developed in Ethiopia

China Turkey Ethiopia dredawa Industrial Park, invested and developed by China Civil Engineering Group, held a launch ceremony in dredawa, the second largest city of Ethiopia, recently, and representatives from China and Egypt attended the ceremony together.

Dredawa is the second municipality directly under the central government of Ethiopia except for the capital Addis Ababa, and also an important city along the Addis Ababa Djibouti railway. The dredawa Industrial Park in Ethiopia, China and Turkmenistan is located in the "special economic zone of dredava" planned by the government, 15 km from the city center of dredawa, 2 km from the dredawa station of Addis Ababa Djibouti railway and 15 km from the dredawa International Airport. The traffic location advantage is very obvious.

The first phase of China Terra dareva Industrial Park covers 370 hectares, focusing on the development of "export processing and manufacturing industry", "Ethiopia resource utilization processing industry" and "productive service industry". According to different development stages, industrial agglomeration has gradually formed in textile, clothing, light industry, electrical appliances, electronics, food, logistics, trade, life services and other industries.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Ahmed Mohammed, mayor of dreidawa, said that the industrial park will attract world-class investors and inject strong impetus to Ethiopia's export industry, not only will it bring technology transfer to Ethiopia, but also bring a lot of employment.

Daniel trisa, deputy director of Ethiopian Investment Bureau, said that China Turkey group has experienced and has invested in several industrial parks in Ethiopia, and believes that the new industrial park will make greater contribution to Ethiopia's economy in the future.

Li Minggang, deputy general manager of China Civil Engineering Group Ethiopia, said that as the pioneer of dredawa Special Economic Zone, China Turkey Ethiopia dredava Industrial Park will become another demonstration platform for China Egypt cooperation.

According to the data released by Ethiopian Industrial Park Development Company, 13 national industrial parks in the country have brought us $610million of export income and created 89000 employment opportunities in the first nine months of the fiscal year beginning in june2020.
