According to the watchdog of MOFCOM, last week (January 14-January 20), the national market prices of the edible agricultural products increased 1% over the previous week and those of the means of production remained the same as the previous week.
In the market of the edible agricultural products: the average wholesale price of 30 kinds of vegetables was 4.5 yuan per kilogram, up 5.1% over the previous week, with the prices of cucumber, pumpkin and green pepper increasing the most by 13%, 10.7% and 9.8% respectively. The wholesale price of poultry rose slightly. Among these, the prices of eggs and chicken were 9.6 and 16.29 yuan per kilogram, up 1.6% and 0.1% over the previous week. The wholesale prices of cereals rose slightly, with the prices of rice up 0.4% over the previous week and the price of flour remaining the same as that of the previous week. The wholesale price of edible oil was steady in general, with the prices of soybean oil, rapeseed oil, and peanut oil all remaining the same as those of the previous week. The wholesale price of meat fluctuated slightly. Among these, the price of pork was 19.86 yuan per kilogram, down 1.7% over last week and the prices of beef and mutton were 57.2 yuan and 57.35 yuan per kilogram respectively, up 0.8% and 0.1% respectively over the previous week. The wholesale price of aquatic products decreased slightly. Among these, the prices of crucian, chub and carp decreased by 0.7%, 0.5% and 0.2% over the previous week respectively.
In the market of production means, the price of chemical fertilizer dropped by 0.4%, with those of urea and NPK down 0.4% and 0.2% respectively. The price of steel dropped by 0.3%. Among these, the prices of box iron, high-speed wire rod, hot rolling strip steel and screw-thread steel were 4119 yuan, 4073 yuan, 4078 yuan and 4009 yuan per ton respectively, down 0.4%, 0.3%, 0.3% and 0.2% respectively. The price of non-ferrous metal decreased by 0.1%, with the prices of zinc and aluminum down 0.3% and 0.1% respectively and that of copper remaining unchanged. The price of coal remained steady, among which the price of blind coal was 890 yuan per ton, up 0.5%, the price of coking coal was 770 yuan per ton, down 0.4%, and that of steamed coal was 605 yuan per ton, remaining the same as in the previous week. The price of basic chemical raw materials increased by 0.2%, with the price of methyl alcohol increasing by 2.1%, the prices of polypropylene and sulphuric acid down 0.4% and 0.2% respectively, and the price of sodium carbonate remaining the same. The price of rubber rose by 0.3%, with the prices of synthetic rubber and natural rubber up 0.4% and 0.3%.
