Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Lu Pengqi met with Ruben Ramos, Vice President of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce in Zhuhai on November 1.
Lu Pengqi said, CCPIT has long been committed to promoting China-Cuba economic and trade ties. Progress has been made through China-Cuba bilateral entrepreneur council and Havana International Expo. The two agencies will further deepen practical cooperation to achieve common development of China-Cuba bilateral ties by favor of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Lu’s remarks were echoed by Ramos who highly praised CCPIT’s contribution in promoting Cuba-China economic and trade cooperation. Ramos added that the Cuban Chamber of Commerce firmly opposes unilateralism and trade protectionism, encourages the Cuban business community to actively participate in the Belt and Road international cooperation, and deeply explore the cooperation potentials in financing, investment, medical and pharmaceutical industry, tourism industry, etc so as to jointly advance Cuba-China bilateral business ties.
