According to the watchdog of MOFCOM, last week (September 17-23), the national market price index of edible agricultural products increased by 0.9%, and that of the means of production increased by 0.5% over the previous week.
In the market of edible agricultural products: the average wholesale price of 30 kinds of vegetables was 4.59 yuan per kilogram, up 1.8% over the previous week, with the prices of green pepper, tomato and pepper up 11.6%, 8.6% and 7.9% respectively. The wholesale price of poultry rose in general. Among these, the prices of eggs, chicken and duck were 10.36 yuan, 16.52 yuan and 17.6 yuan per kilogram respectively. The wholesale price of meat continued to increase. Among these, the prices of pork, beef and mutton were 21.24 yuan, 53.76 yuan and 50.89 yuan per kilogram respectively, with an increase of 1%, 0.6% and 0.9% respectively. The wholesale prices of grain and food increased slightly, with the price of flour up 0.3% and that of the rice staying unchanged. The average wholesale price of aquatic products continued to decrease, with the prices of small hairtail, little yellow croaker and silver carp decreasing the most by 1.1%, 0.8% and 0.5% respectively. The wholesale price of edible oil fluctuated slightly, with the prices of rapeseed oil and peanut oil down 0.2% and 0.1% respectively and that of soybean oil up 0.1%.
In the market of production means, the price of non-ferrous metal increased by 1.7%, with the prices of zinc, copper, tin and aluminum up 3.6%, 2.6%, 0.9% and 0.5% respectively and those of lead and nickel down 0.9% and 0.4% respectively. The price of rubber increased by 0.6%, with the prices of natural rubber and synthetic rubber up 1% and 0.2% respectively. The price of chemical fertilizer increased by 0.4%, with those of urea, KCL, DAP and NPK up 0.5%, 0.4%, 0.3% and 0.3% respectively. The price of steel increased by 0.4%, and the prices of screw-thread steel, high-speed wire rod, common round steel and common mid plate were 4412 yuan, 4503 yuan, 4462 yuan and 4540 yuan per ton, up 0.7%, 0.6%, 0.3% and 0.2% respectively. The price of basic chemical raw materials increased by 0.3%, with the prices of methyl alcohol, sodium carbonate, sulphuric acid and caustic soda up 0.8%, 0.5%, 0.2% and 0.1% respectively. The price of coal increased by 0.3% over the previous week. Among these, the prices of blind coal, coking coal and steam coal were 866 yuan, 751 yuan and 600 yuan per ton respectively, up 0.5%, 0.3% and 0.3% respectively.
