The Forum on International Cooperation of Land-Sea New Channel and the China-Singapore Financial Summit were held in Singapore on the 11th. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the launch of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Strategic Connectivity Demonstration Project, politicians, industry leaders, experts and scholars from Singapore, China and other countries in Southeast Asia jointly discuss new opportunities for regional cooperation. ASEAN and China are each other's largest trading partners, and the cooperation prospects of both sides are broad.
The new land-sea channel will give birth to more new opportunities for cross-border trade and financing. Chongqing Vice Mayor Xu Jian said in his speech that over the past ten years, the new land-sea channel nurtured by the China-Singapore Interconnection Project has become an important link connecting western China with ASEAN and even the world. The current world economic pattern is undergoing profound changes, and regional cooperation ushers in new opportunities. The new land-sea channel will play a more important role in promoting regional economic integration, promoting smooth trade, and strengthening financial cooperation.
Liang Xinsong, deputy director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, said that finance is an important driving force for the China-Singapore interconnection project. Looking ahead to the next decade, western China and ASEAN can further deepen cooperation in forward-looking fields such as green finance and digital interconnection, improve the quality and breadth of cross-border financial services, and better serve the real economy.
