Basic situation of the 8th Shanghai Fair
The Shanghai Fair is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the State Intellectual Property Office and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. The 8th Shanghai Fair will be held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center from April 15 to 17, 2021 .
This SSE Fair adheres to the concept of " innovation-driven development, protection of intellectual property rights, and promotion of technology trade ", based on the national strategy of serving the country, focusing on advanced technological achievements, reflecting the requirements of digital transformation, linking domestic and foreign innovative resources, and striving to improve the quality of the exhibition. The total exhibition area of this year's Shanghai Fair is 35,000 square meters , the scale is the same as the previous one, with more than 1,000 exhibitors, a record high.
This year's Shanghai Fair will set up five exhibition areas for technological innovation, urban renewal, professional technology, innovative ecology, and transaction services .
Science and Technology Innovation Exhibition Area
Set up special areas for the Yangtze River Delta, the Free Trade Zone Lingang New Area, the construction of science and innovation centers, technology transfer, private enterprises, overseas Chinese businessmen, universities, etc., to showcase forward-looking and leading technological achievements and scientific research projects, and promote application and transformation.
Urban Renewal Exhibition Area
Practicing the important concept of "people's cities, people's cities for the people", showcasing a group of leading digital technologies, presenting application scenarios such as digital anti-epidemic, digital ageing, digital communities and digital business, and discussing the path of urban digital transformation.
Professional technology exhibition area
Set up special areas for next-generation information technology, biomedicine, new materials, service robots, etc., to give the audience an on-site experience.
Innovation Ecological Exhibition Area
Set up functional areas such as the transformation of innovation achievements, high-tech experience interaction, domestic and foreign project docking, and organize large enterprises, high-tech parks, and capital alliance project procurement groups to carry out docking negotiations.
Transaction Service Area
Introduce Shanghai Intellectual Property Service Center, Shanghai Talent Service Industry Association and other institutions to provide services such as technical achievements inquiry and intellectual property consulting.
This year's Shanghai Fair will be presented in the form of " online and offline integration ", with a new online exhibition area , organize cloud exhibitions, cloud releases, cloud conferences, cloud shopping exhibition activities, invite friends from all over the world, and connect domestic and international resources.

Focus on the sharing and exchange of global science and technology wisdom: Overseas technology promotion theme Japan Osaka Prefecture is hosted by Osaka Prefecture, Japan. With the theme of "Showing the Blueprint of the Times, Seeking the Future of Hydrogen Energy", it focuses on introducing a batch of advanced hydrogen energy technologies from Japan;
The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) theme day holds forums and exchanges on topics such as industrial technology innovation and international cooperation, and the engine of post-epidemic economic recovery, and releases a group of UNIDO member states' procurement needs, conducts international project roadshows, and achieves precise docking of domestic and foreign projects;
