The conference was co-organized by the Guangdong Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Representative Office in Macau, Guangzhou Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Shenzhen Municipal Commission for the Promotion of International Trade and Zhuhai Council for the Promotion of International Trade. Participants conducted discussions and exchanges on topics such as further strengthening cooperation in the post-epidemic era, serving the economic development of the Greater Bay Area and corporate transformation and upgrading, and promoting Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao trade promotion cooperation to a new level.
Participants believed that, taking advantage of the country’s 14th Five-Year Plan and seizing the historical opportunity of the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao trade and investment promotion agencies complement each other's advantages and deepen cooperation, and jointly promote the interaction and integration of industries in the Bay Area. Development, promotion of trade and investment facilitation, and integration of service enterprises into the new development pattern are promising.
Fang Lixu, chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade, stated that under the framework of cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, Guangdong adheres to “the requirements of the central government, the direction of the Bay Area, the needs of Hong Kong and Macau, and what Guangdong can do”, and promotes the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with the help of the whole province. Infrastructure "hard connectivity", realizing the rule mechanism "soft connectivity", strengthening the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong, Guangzhou-Zhuhai-Macao science and technology innovation corridor, continuously expanding financial industry open cooperation, accelerating the integration and development of cities in the Bay Area, significantly improving the level of factor flow, and achieving world-class levels Vigor Bay Area has taken shape.
The Guangdong Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Zhuhai Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Macau Manufacturers’ Association, the Macau Chamber of importers and Exporters, and the Macau Textile Chamber of Commerce have signed strategic cooperation framework agreements.
