Liberia's "Daily Observer" reported on May 30 that the Economic Community of West African States announced that it would send three high-level representatives to Liberia from May 30 to June 2 to conduct a series of discussions with the government to assist the country. The "Goods and Services Tax" (GST) was reformed to "Value Added Tax" (VAT). The talks are part of the West Africa Fiscal Transition Support Programme (PATF) launched in November 2021.
