Linyi, May 10 (Linyi China) – To mark the 1837th anniversary of the birth of sage Zhuge Liang, the 9th Linyi Zhuge Liang Cultural Tourism Festival will be held in Yinan County, Linyi City, east China’s Shandong Province from May 26th to May 30th.
Reporter learned from press conference that the 9th Linyi Zhuge Liang Cultural Tourism Festival hosted on May 9 is themed on “Hometown of Sage Beautiful Yinan”. Over 20 activities are organized for the festival, including a marathon during the opening ceremony, a Chinese Poetry Conference for teenagers, a worshipping for China’s great sage Zhuge Liang, a temple fair for folklores, a Chinese painting and calligraphy exhibition, and meeting with reporters, etc..
Adhering to the principle of government-administrated direction, market-oriented operation and communal participation, the Festival is jointly sponsored by Propaganda Department of Shandong Provincial Party Committee, Shandong Provincial Department of Culture, Shandong Tourism Development Commission, Linyi Municipal Party Committee and People’s Government of Linyi City, Propaganda Department of Linyi Municipal Party Committee, Party Committee of Yinan County and People’s Government of Yinan County.
