On the evening of the 24th local time, the inauguration ceremony of the ninth Board of Supervisors of the Brazilian Association for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China (Brazil Association for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China) was held in Rio de Janeiro.Tian Min, Chinese Consul General in Rio de Janeiro, as well as local overseas Chinese, Taiwan compatriots and friendly people from all walks of life attended the ceremony.Wang Junxiao, Chairman of the 7th and 8th Board of Supervisors of the Brazilian Peace and Unification Association, reviewed the important activities organized and hosted by the association during the six-year term.In his inaugural speech, Zhang Xiaochun, Chairman of the Ninth Board of Directors and Supervisors, paid tribute to the work and achievements of the previous Board of Directors and Supervisors, and expressed his gratitude to the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council and the Chinese Consulate General in Rio de Janeiro for their support of the association’s work.On behalf of the Consulate General, Tian Min, the Chinese Consul General in Rio de Janeiro, expressed sincere congratulations to the 9th Board of Directors and Supervisors of the Brazilian Congress for Peace and Unification on their assumption of office.She expressed the hope that the Brazilian Peace and Reunification Association and other overseas Chinese groups would work together to consolidate and deepen the friendship between China and Brazil and local people, and work together to build the next "golden 50 years" of China-Brazil relations.Wei Guide was elected as the ninth Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of the Brazilian Peace and Unification Council, Lin Haiping was elected as the Executive Chairman, Wang Shenxiao was elected as the First Executive Vice Chairman, and Zhang Ying served as the Secretary-General.The Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Overseas Chinese, the Association for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China, the China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the Chinese Embassy in Brazil and other organizations sent congratulatory messages to the Brazilian Peace and Reunification Association.
