    After joining the club of China's urban GDP trillion yuan (RMB, the same below), Fuzhou strives to become a national central city and move towards a modern international city. As one of the six cities that have boosted the development of a modern international city in Fuzhou, "silk road harbor city" is accelerating its construction.

   On the afternoon of February 9, Fuzhou and Fujian Port Group signed an agreement. Through mutual equity participation and resource consolidation, the two sides will promote the high-quality development of Fuzhou port, build Jiangyin port container hub port, optimize and integrate Luoyuan Bay port resources, and scientifically adjust the function of Mawei Port. In an interview with China News Agency on the 10th, people in the industry said that government enterprise port cooperation will help Fuzhou speed up the construction of "silk road harbor city" and promote the construction of "maritime Fuzhou" and world-class ports.

   It can be seen from the work report of Fuzhou municipal government in 2022 that this year, Fuzhou will accelerate the construction of berths 6 to 9 in Jiangyin port area, berths 6 to 7 in Luoyuan Bay port area and reclamation of niukeng Bay in Luoyuan, so as to promote the construction of "silk road harbor city".

   Fuzhou port is an important hub on the ancient "maritime Silk Road" and a witness of Fuzhou's "maritime silk" culture and its development along the river to the sea. Today, Fuzhou takes the "silk road harbor city" as an important starting point for accelerating the construction of a modern international city, pays close attention to the port industry, extends the chain, supports the leading and casts clusters around the advantageous industries such as new chemical materials, offshore wind power, biology and new medicine, iron smelting building materials and stainless steel, so as to inject blue kinetic energy into the urban development.

Just after the Spring Festival holiday in the year of the tiger, the construction of Fuzhou "silk road harbor city" was fully opened, and many industrial projects were started one after another, including the era polypropylene deep processing project with a total investment of 2 billion yuan started in Luoyuan County, and the Wanhua chemical (Fujian) project with an annual output of 800000 tons of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) with a total investment of 4.632 billion yuan was started in Fuqing City.

   As a key project of the construction of "silk road harbor city", the construction site of Furong new material industrial park project is in full swing. Yan Chaozhou, the person in charge of on-site construction, told reporters that more than 100 workers worked overtime to catch up with the progress during the Spring Festival to ensure that the first production line was put into trial production in September this year.

   The project, located in Fuqing Rongqiao economic and Technological Development Zone, with a total investment of 4.2 billion yuan, will introduce eight of the world's most advanced BOPP / BOPE film production lines manufactured by Germany's Bruckner company, and intends to build it into the world's largest plastic film production base integrating intelligent manufacturing, intelligent supply and industrial Internet.

   Accelerate the construction of "silk road harbor city", Fuzhou has sufficient stamina and vitality. At present, Fuzhou port has built 157 productive berths, including 69 deep-water berths above 10000 tons, forming a continuous, intensive and large-scale development pattern. It has developed into a transit hub for bulk cargo along China's coast. In 2021, the cargo throughput of Fuzhou port was 273 million tons, with a year-on-year increase of 9.8%, jumping to the 17th place in China, up one place from the ranking of the previous year.

   In addition to transportation advantages, overseas Chinese and Taiwan's advantages and policy advantages are also becoming more and more obvious. Fuzhou is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese and an important ancestral home for Taiwan compatriots in China. There are more than 4 million overseas villagers in 177 countries and regions around the world. Huang maoxing, a professor at the school of economics of Fujian Normal University, believes that widely gathering the wisdom and strength of compatriots at home and abroad and striving for more funds, talents and technologies at home and abroad to gather in Fuzhou will speed up the construction of the "silk road harbor city".

   With the gradual release of the dividends of the regional comprehensive economic partnership agreement (RCEP), the construction of the "silk road harbor city" is more dynamic, and the cultivation of new sea and land routes is accelerated. The Panamanian ship "Korea laureate" arrived at the container terminal of Jiangyin port in Fuzhou a few days ago to transport Chinese handicrafts, ceramics, home accessories and shoes to South Korea, becoming the "first ship" in the year of the tiger to berth in Fuzhou after RCEP came into effect.
