   On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the United Arab Emirates, on December 14, Shandong Port Group and Abu Dhabi port group of the United Arab Emirates signed a friendly port cooperation agreement online. So far, the global "circle of friends" of Shandong Port has expanded to 38. The two sides will work together to build overseas tire warehouses in Abu Dhabi Khalifa Industrial Zone, consolidate Abu Dhabi's leading position as a trade, logistics and manufacturing base of the United Arab Emirates, and further strengthen China Arab trade and shipping exchanges.

   The event was held in the West Coast Building of Shandong Port and Abu Dhabi port of the United Arab Emirates by video connection. Li Fengli, deputy secretary of the Party committee, director and general manager of Shandong Port Group, and captain Muhammad Juma Shamsi, chief executive officer of Abu Dhabi port group, United Arab Emirates, attended and signed. Jia Funing, member of the Standing Committee of the Party committee and deputy general manager of Shandong Port Group, and Saif, general manager of Abu Dhabi port group, signed the friendly port agreement on behalf of both sides. Shandong Port overseas development group and Abu Dhabi Khalifa Industrial Zone signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement on tire overseas warehouse.

   It is understood that Abu Dhabi port group will provide integrated services for the project: providing warehousing services for overseas tire warehouses of Shandong Port in Abu Dhabi Khalifa industrial zone located in industrial cities and free zone clusters; Micco, a logistics operator of Abu Dhabi port group, and Safen feeders, a regional service company, are responsible for providing warehousing management, logistics, distribution and re export services.

   Shandong is a large marine province, and ports are Shandong's greatest advantage, resources and development potential. Since its establishment, one belt, one road, has been built up, Shandong's port has been upgrading its scale strength, consolidating its superior goods, actively integrating into and serving the "one belt and one road" initiative, and connecting the countries and regions along the "maritime Silk Road" to accelerate the construction of the international shipping hub of Northeast Asia. Through more than 300 container routes, it is closely connected with more than 180 countries and regions around the world, effectively ensure the smooth international shipping and stabilize the circulation of the industrial chain and supply chain; We will accelerate the "one order system" of sea rail intermodal transport on land, continue to open more container sea rail intermodal trains, optimize the network layout of inland ports, and form a logistics network "based on Shandong, connecting the Yellow River, radiating the whole country and connecting the world". At the same time, by giving full play to the advantages of large wharf, large storage yard and integrated collaborative and linkage development, the import volume of key goods such as iron ore, bauxite, crude oil and grain has maintained a steady development, and its proportion in the national total import is ahead of the major coastal ports in China. As of December 1, Shandong Port has completed a total container throughput of 31.55 million TEUs this year, 30 days ahead of last year's 31.47 million TEUs, a record high; As of December 5, Shandong Port has completed a total cargo throughput of 142.115 million tons this year, 26 days ahead of last year's total.

   One belt, one road service, Shandong port successfully operated overseas projects such as Guinea aluminum, France, Abu Zabi Khalifa two phase container terminals and Italy's port of wato, and established 37 friendly ports, and actively built a new platform for international exchanges and expanded overseas friends circle.

   One belt, one road initiative was the first in the United Arab Emirates. In April 2019, Shandong port Qingdao port and COSCO Shipping jointly invested and operated the two phase of the container terminal, which deepened the cooperation between Shandong port and Abu Dhabi port. On November 18 this year, "Zhuoyuan Haisheng" made its first voyage from Shandong Port to Abu Dhabi port, and 30000 cubic meters of high-quality products such as tires and plywood were successfully unloaded. Abu Dhabi port held a grand ship receiving ceremony for this purpose, which laid a solid foundation for the development of overseas warehouse business of Shandong Port in Abu Dhabi port.
