"One Belt One Road" Ecological Environment Standard Seminar was held in Beijing

On August 26, 2021, the "Belt and Road" Green Development International Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the Green Alliance) and the Klines European Environmental Protection Association jointly organized the "Belt and Road" Ecological Environment Standards Seminar. The purpose of the conference is to exchange laws, regulations and policy standards for the co-construction of the "Belt and Road" national ecological environment, and to promote the docking with the co-construction of the country's ecological environment standards.

Participants conducted discussions on topics such as the construction of ecological environment standard systems in various countries, the implementation of environmental laws and regulations, and the comparison of environmental standards in typical industries. Representatives of Kenya's Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Indonesia's Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Chinese Academy of Environmental Sciences and China National Institute of Standardization introduced their country's ecological environment laws and regulations, ecological environment standards, and environmental protection industry standard systems. Emmanuel, Honorary Dean of the National University of Rwanda, introduced environmental protection cases and applicable rules in the main development and construction industries in Africa. Professor Wang Canfa from China University of Political Science and Law introduced the differences in the co-construction of the “Belt and Road” national ecological environment standard system, and Put forward suggestions for advancing the docking of standards. Representatives of China Railway Construction and China Automotive Data Co., Ltd. respectively introduced the application of environmental protection standards for overseas engineering projects and the joint establishment of national carbon emission standards for the automobile industry.

The meeting effectively identified the opportunities and challenges facing the co-construction of the “Belt and Road” countries to improve the ecological environment standard system and management capabilities, and discussed the key areas and key paths of the “Belt and Road” ecological environment Eco-environmental standards have been docked to build a communication platform.
