With the coming of summer tourism peak, the European Commission released 29 guidelines for reopening the cultural and creative industries to help the industry get rid of COVID-19's influence as soon as possible.

According to the guidelines, EU Member States must take into account the coverage and epidemiology of new crown vaccines when reopening cultural venues and organizing related activities. The location of the event is also critical. For example, outdoor activities are safer than indoor activities. Proper ventilation and number of participants should be considered.

The guidelines say the European Commission conducted tests in five member states this spring. The test results showed that if the test was carried out at the entrance and the participants were required to wear masks, "field activities will not accelerate the infection.".

The guidelines require Member States to take a series of measures in cultural and creative institutions, including installing appropriate ventilation equipment, ensuring that all staff are vaccinated with the new crown vaccine, strengthening the measures of wearing masks and washing hands frequently, maintaining social distance, tracking close contacts, and formulating prevention plans.

European Commission Vice President hinas said at a news conference that in order to help cultural and creative industries recover, the EU will take a series of actions and measures.

Gabriel, member of the European Commission in charge of innovation, research, culture, education and youth affairs, said that the EU's total budget for cultural and creative industries increased by 4.5 billion euros between 2021 and 2027.

During the COVID-19 era, the European Unio's creative industry suffered a serious blow. According to the statistics of the EU single market report in 2021, the box office revenue of EU cinemas will decrease by 70% in 2020; The attendance rate of concerts and other venues decreased by 76%, and the income decreased by 64%; Museums in popular tourist areas lost nearly 80% of their revenue.

With the large-scale development of new crown vaccination in EU Member States, COVID-19 has been gradually under control, and the number of newly diagnosed cases has been greatly reduced. At the same time, some virologists warned that the spread of the new coronavirus mutation is accelerating, and the epidemic situation is likely to be serious again.
