The Xi'an International Trade and Logistics (ITL) Park should continue to develop its open economy and build major international channels.
Remarks were made by the Shaanxi Provincial Party Secretary Hu Heping during his inspection of the major projects of the ITL Park on Feb 23.
Hu visited the Xi'an Railway Container Center, northwest base of the e-commerce giant Jingdong and Xinzhu Rail Logistics base and closely evaluated the state of operation and their construction plans.
He was delighted to hear that the frequency of the China-Europe freight trains has been increased this year. He encouraged all the staff members to strengthen their efforts towards the goal of building Shaanxi province into an influential railway freight hub along the Silk Road Economic Belt。
Through the concerted efforts, the park would like to become a role model in the process of opening-up for the other mid-western China's inland cities.
Hu was also briefed on the construction of the main stadium for the 14th National Games in 2021 and urged the officers to step up the pace to ensure that the sports center began its services on schedule.
The park should play the leading role in forming a modern transportation system connecting the air, railway and highway, bringing about a new phase of all-around opening up with links running eastward and westward over land and sea, Hu noted.
