The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Holds a Briefing on the 13th "Love Knows No Borders" Inter

On December 8, 2021, the Organizing Committee of the 13th "Love Knows No Borders" International Charity Sale held an online briefing for foreign embassies and media in China. Counselor Liu Xia, Director of the Women's Working Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, introduced the main arrangements and preparatory progress of this charity sale. Ding Yadong, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, introduced the implementation of last year's charity sale funded projects and the direction of use of this year's charity sale.

This year's "Love Knows No Borders" International Charity Sale was initiated by Ms. Qian Wei, State Councilor Wang Yi and wife of Foreign Minister, hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, and co-organized by Beijing Foreign Affairs Office and Chaoyang District Government. This year, China has achieved a comprehensive victory in poverty alleviation, and rural revitalization has been fully promoted. This event stood at a new starting point and determined the theme as "Love Knows No Borders - Rural Revitalization, Health First". The opening ceremony will be held in Beijing at 10:00 am on December 18 in a combination of online and offline methods. State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his wife Ms. Qian Wei, foreign diplomatic envoys in China, and representatives of sponsoring companies will participate.

According to the requirements of the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, this charity sale will continue to adopt the method of online charity sale and live streaming. The online charity sale will be launched at 11:00 am on December 18th through the establishment of the Tmall "Help One Consumer Support Flagship Store" special webpage, and will continue for a week; Representatives from Malipo County and other representatives will interact with the anchors in the live broadcast room of Taobao's "CCTV News".

This year's "Love Knows No Borders" international charity sale will be used to finance the improvement of local medical conditions in Jinping County and Malipo County in Yunnan Province through the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation.
