On January 26, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to make the first anti-dumping and anti-subsidy sunset review of industrial damage affirmative final ruling on passenger vehicle and light truck tires imported from China: The ruling is that if the current anti-dumping and countervailing measures are cancelled, within a reasonably foreseeable period, the material damage to the domestic industry caused by the import of the products involved may continue or recur. According to the final ruling, the current anti-dumping and countervailing measures in this case continue to be effective.

On July 21, 2014, the U.S. Department of Commerce initiated an anti-dumping and countervailing investigation against passenger car and light truck tires in China. On June 12, 2015, the U.S. Department of Commerce made a final anti-dumping and countervailing ruling against passenger car and light truck tires in China. On July 1, 2020, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an announcement to initiate the first anti-dumping and anti-subsidy review investigation on passenger car and light truck tires imported from China. On November 4, 2020, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an announcement stating that it had made the first anti-dumping rapid sunset review final ruling on passenger car and light truck tires imported from China. On November 9, 2020, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an announcement stating that it had made the first anti-subsidy quick sunset review final ruling on the products involved in the case imported from China.
