India makes a final anti-dumping ruling on China-related viscose spun yarn

On December 30, 2020, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued an announcement stating that it has made a positive anti-dumping final ruling on Viscose Spun Yarn originating in or imported from China, Indonesia and Vietnam, and recommending that the products involved in the above-mentioned countries be dealt with. Anti-dumping duties with a validity period of 5 years are levied, of which China is US$0.41 to 0.80/kg, Indonesia is US$0.25 to 0.44/kg, and Vietnam is US$0.41/kg. See the attached table for the specific taxation details. This case mainly involved products under the Indian customs codes 55101110 and 55101210, and some products under 55101190, 55101290, 55109010 and 55109090. The product involved in this case is non-retail viscose spun yarn with 85% or more of artificial viscose staple fiber by weight, except for sewing thread.

On January 14, 2020, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement stating that in response to an application submitted by the Indian Manmade Yarn Manufacturers Association (Indian Manmade Yarn Manufacturers Association), viscose staple fiber originating from or imported from China, Indonesia and Vietnam Yarn initiated an anti-dumping investigation. The dumping investigation period for this case is from April 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019 (9 months), and the damage investigation period is from 2016 to 2017, 2017 to 2018, 2018 to 2019 and the dumping investigation period .
