China is willing to work with the new Japanese government to properly handle historical and other sensitive issues in accordance with the principles and spirit of the four political documents between China and Japan, continuously enhance political mutual trust, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, expand people to people exchanges, and strive to build Sino Japanese relations that meet the requirements of the new era. China and China are willing to play a leading role in the development of new strategic relations.



Xi Jinping pointed out that it is the essential requirement for the development of Sino Japanese relations in the new era to continuously expand common interests and better benefit the two peoples. China supports Japan to host a successful Olympic Games next year.



Xi Jinping stressed that China and Japan shoulder the important responsibility of safeguarding world peace and stability. In line with the concept of a community of shared future for mankind, the two sides should actively advocate and practice multilateralism, firmly maintain the international order and international system with the United Nations as the core, strengthen communication, coordination and cooperation under international multilateral institutions and regional cooperation mechanisms, work together to meet various global challenges and make positive contributions to the prosperity and development of Asia.



Kan said that Japan attaches great importance to China and regards Japan China relations as one of the most important bilateral relations. The two countries support novel coronavirus pneumonia. A stable Japan China relationship is not only in line with the interests of the two peoples, but also indispensable to world peace and prosperity. I hope to maintain close communication with President Xi, work hard to strengthen economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, deepen people to people exchanges, and push Japan China relations to a new level. Japan is willing to closely communicate with China to ensure the signing of the regional comprehensive economic partnership agreement within the year, accelerate the negotiation of Japan China ROK free trade area, and jointly maintain the stability of the regional industrial chain supply chain.
