On September 15 local time, State Councilor and foreign minister Wang Yi held talks with Mongolian foreign minister enkhtawang in Ulaanbaatar.

Wang Yi said that since novel coronavirus pneumonia occurred, China and Mongolia have been watching each other and making efforts to overcome difficulties. President battulega paid a special visit to China at the most severe time of China's epidemic, expressed support for China and presented 30000 sheep to China. All sectors of Mongolia launched fund-raising activities to China. The Chinese side has also offered good things in return, sharing experience and information on prevention and control with Mongolia without reservation and providing medical material assistance. The relationship between the two countries has withstood the test of epidemic situation and has been further promoted in the joint fight against the epidemic. We are willing to work with Mongolia to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and push the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Mongolia to a new level.

Wang Yi said: the first message that I want to convey during this visit is that China is willing to further strengthen cooperation with Mongolia in the fight against epidemic diseases, consolidate the good situation of "zero infection" between the two sides, at the same time, work together to prepare for the possible long-term epidemic situation, strengthen the normalization of joint prevention and control, make good use of and expand the "green channel" for goods exchange, accelerate the establishment of a "fast track" for personnel exchanges, and carry out vaccines and drugs Cooperation. The epidemic will be over and the friendship between China and Mongolia will last forever.

Second, China will continue to support Mongolia's economic and social development and people's livelihood improvement, and is willing to share development opportunities with Mongolia to realize common prosperity. The two sides complement each other's advantages and have broad prospects for cooperation. We should make up for the time lost due to the epidemic and promote the resumption of work and production of key projects as soon as possible. One belt, one road and one side of the road, was agreed to accelerate the development of the "road to the road" and the "road to Grassland". We have actively promoted the major projects that have been agreed and are being negotiated in the sewage treatment works, hydropower stations and shantytowns, and expanded the import of Mongolian agricultural products and coal, and further strengthened cooperation in ports and cross-border economic zones.

Third, both sides should make joint efforts to ensure the long-term, healthy and stable development of China Mongolia relations. China and Mongolia are permanent neighbors and should be forever friends. This is the only choice and the best choice for the two countries. Both sides should constantly enhance political mutual trust, consolidate the political foundation of bilateral relations, especially respect national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and do not interfere in the internal affairs of the other country. This is not only the political commitment of the two countries when they established diplomatic relations, but also a basic criterion for international relations. It should become a "tranquilizing needle" to ensure the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations.

Wang Yi stressed that both China and Mongolia are developing countries and share broad common interests in international and regional affairs. Both sides should strengthen their support and cooperation in multilateral frameworks such as the United Nations, and jointly voice positive voices against unilateralism, support multilateralism, oppose separatist confrontation, and support win-win cooperation.

Enkhtawang said that Mongolia attaches great importance to Mongolia China relations and attaches priority to Mongolia China cooperation. Since the outbreak, high-level communication between the two countries has been maintained, political mutual trust between the two sides has been firm, and mutually beneficial cooperation has been continuously deepened. Foreign Minister Wang Yi is the first foreign minister to visit Mongolia after the epidemic, which is a vivid manifestation of China's high attention to Mongolia China relations and the traditional friendship between the two countries. Mongolia thanks China for its anti epidemic material assistance and is willing to continue to unite with China to fight the epidemic and expand cooperation in traditional Chinese medicine. Both sides have opened a "green channel" for cargo transportation and increased freight trains, which play an important role in restoring and expanding bilateral trade. Mongolia is willing to deepen cooperation with China in local, cultural, educational, health, innovation and other fields, closely communicate and coordinate in the multilateral arena, and promote more mutually beneficial and win-win results.

The foreign ministers of the two countries reiterated and confirmed that China and Mongolia will respect each other's sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity and will not interfere in each other's internal affairs.

After the talks, the foreign ministers of the two countries jointly signed the revised agreement on border ports and their management system, the annual cooperation plan of the Ministry of foreign affairs of China and Mongolia, and jointly met with reporters.
