According to the watchdog of MOFCOM, last week (September 3-9), the national market price index of the edible agricultural products increased by 0.6% and that of the means of production increased by 0.4% over the previous week.
In the market of edible agricultural products: the average wholesale price of 30 kinds of vegetables was 4.32 yuan per kilogram, up 2.1% over the previous week, with the prices of tomato, cauliflower and green pepper increasing the most by up 8.8%, 7% and 6.6% respectively. The wholesale price of meat increased in general. Among these, the prices of pork, beef and mutton were 20.52 yuan, 53.27 yuan and 49.93 yuan per kilogram respectively, up 1.5%, 0.2% and 0.6% respectively. The wholesale prices of grain and food increased slightly, with that of flour up 0.3% and that of rice staying unchanged. The average wholesale price of aquatic products continued to decrease, with the prices of large yellow croaker, big hairtail, and small yellow croaker decreasing the most by 2.4%, 1.6% and 1.4% respectively. The wholesale price of poultry decreased in general. Among these, the prices of eggs and chicken were 10.17 yuan and 16.25 yuan per kilogram respectively, down 1.8% and 0.3% respectively, and that of duck was 17.37 yuan per kilogram, up 0.6%. The wholesale price of edible oil decreased slightly, with those of rapeseed oil and soybean oil down 0.3% and 0.1% respectively, and that of peanut oil staying unchanged.
In the market of production means, the price of coal increased by 0.5%, among which the prices of coking coal, blind coal and steam coal were 749 yuan, 863 yuan and 597 yuan per ton respectively, up 0.9%, 0.7% and 0.3% respectively. The price of rubber increased by 0.5%, and the prices of synthetic rubber and natural rubber rose by 0.8% and 0.3% respectively. The price of basic chemical raw materials increased by 0.5%, with the prices of caustic soda, methyl alcohol and sodium carbonate up 1.8%, 1.5% and 0.2% respectively and that of sulphuric acid down 0.9%. The price of chemical fertilizer increased by 0.3%, with the prices of urea, KCL and DAP rising by 0.4%, 0.2% and 0.1% respectively and that of NPK staying stable. The price of steel increased by 0.3% over the previous week, and the prices of screw-thread steel, hot-rolled strip steel, high-speed wire rod and galvanized sheet were 4358 yuan, 4399 yuan, 4454 yuan and 5038 yuan per ton respectively, up 0.6%, 0.4%, 0.3% and 0.3% respectively. The price of non-ferrous metal decreased by 1.1% over the previous week, with the prices of nickel, copper, zinc, aluminum and tin dropping by 3.5%, 1.6%, 1.1%, 0.9% and 0.8% respectively and that of lead up 1.9%.
