The Board of the Business Council of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has called for promoting regional trade & investment facilitation.
Chairman of the Board of SCO Business Council, also the Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Chen Zhou made the assurance at a wide range meeting for the 17th meeting of the Council of Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) of the Member States of the SCO held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on October 12.
Chen shared with the guests about how the Board of SCO Business Council set up trade and investment promotion platforms, promote regional trade and investment facilitation, support the construction of Qingdao-based China-SCO local economic and trade cooperation pilot zone, build up favorable regional connectivity, assist the promotion of cross border e-commerce and conduct training sessions for business professionals.
“The SCO will adhere to multilateral trade system, oppose unilateralism and trade protectionism. Meanwhile, we will continue to promote regional trade and investment facilitation. Last but not least, we shall enhance cooperation for small and medium-sized enterprises and training sessions for the youths,” added Chen.
