Iran's non-oil exports up by 14.7 pct in 4 months: report

 Iran exported 15.45 billion U.S. dollars of non-oil products during the four-month period from March 21 to July 22, registering 14.69 percent rise compared to the same period last year, Tehran Times daily reported on Saturday.

Major exported items included gas condensate valued at 1.86 billion dollars, liquefied propane worth 691 million dollars, and low-density oils and their byproducts except for gasoline valued at 555 million dollars.

Among the exports, polyethylene film grade valued at 411 million dollars, and methanol worth 470 million dollars.

China, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Iraq, Afghanistan and South Korea were the main export markets of Iranian non-oil goods during the four-month period.

In the meantime, Iran imported 15.18 billion dollars of non-oil products in the mentioned time span, with 4.05 percent fall from the figure compared to the corresponding period last year.

Auto parts worth 726 million dollars, corn as livestock food valued at 711 million dollars, rice worth 675 million dollars, and soy bean valued at 492 million dollars were the major imported products from China, UAE, South Korea, India and Germany.
