The 2017 Honduras-People’s Republic of China Trade Exposition kicked off in the city of San Pedro Sula of Honduras on October 12. Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Chen Zhou attended and addressed the opening ceremony.
Chen Zhou said, the expo is the sixth of its kind for CCPIT to host in Honduras. The expo has served as a bridge for economic and trade cooperation between China and Central American countries. CCPIT will continue to work with Honduras cooperation partners, playing its role as a bridge to boost China-Honduras bilateral trade ties.
Aida Rodriguez, who is in charge of international cooperation promotion under Honduras’ Economic Department, on behalf of its Minister Arnaldo Castillo, attended the opening ceremony. Nearly 200 delegates from Honduras political and business community, including Chairman of Honduras-China Business Council Salmon Lopez and President of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Cortes Jorge Faraj, and local Chinese business group attended the opening ceremony. Delegates said, trade expositions were successfully held in Honduras for many times, which provided matching opportunities for companies of both countries to enable more Chinese commodities and enterprises to get access to Honduras market.
The trade exposition, hosted by CCPIT and organized by China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), covers a total area of 1,600 square meters. 22 Chinese quality enterprises, ranging from public transport, telecommunications, machinery, such as Huawei, Yutong Group, Zongshen Motorcycle, etc are on display at the exposition.
