Fuzhou, capital of southeast China's Fujian Province, has founded its cross-border e-commerce association, reported Shanghai Securities News recently.

Fuzhou was approved to establish a comprehensive cross-border e-commerce pilot zone in December 2019. With the new founded association, Fuzhou will further promote benign interaction among enterprises, industries and government, create a new industrial environment, strengthen the integration of industry resources, and help the development of cross-border e-commerce.

Meanwhile, a cross-border e-commerce industry empowerment center was also launched, which is expected to be put into operation in September including nearly 30 institutions involving e-commerce platforms, logistics enterprises and payment service providers.

From January to April this year, Fuzhou's cross-border e-commerce business maintained a rapid growth momentum with its imports and exports reaching 1.058 billion yuan, an increase of 133.69 percent year on year. Among them, exports reached 730 million yuan and imports reached 328 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 139.66 percent and 121.6 percent, respectively.
