Madbouly made the remarks while meeting with Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi in the Egyptian capital Cairo.

"Egypt is willing to learn from the Chinese experience and welcomes more investments from Chinese enterprises to build the China-Egypt Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone," he said.

Egypt has great potential in the field of tourism and welcomes more Chinese tourists to visit Egypt, the prime minister said, expressing his hope for the Chinese enterprises to join hands with Egypt to expand the European and African markets.

China and Egypt have agreed to boost bilateral ties through enhancing cooperation in all fields, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Wednesday.

Wang made the remarks at a joint press conference with Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry in Cairo, Egypt.

After holding a strategic dialogue, a set of consensus were achieved by the two ministers.

The two sides agreed to boost bilateral ties with the aim to build a community with a shared future in the new era, Wang said, adding that China is the largest trade partner of Egypt with its investment to Egypt growing by over 60 percent in 2019.

"The two sides will deepen political mutual trust and enhance mutually beneficiary cooperation in all fields," he said.

The two sides also agreed to further promote the Belt and Road construction. "We will promote greater synergy between the Belt and Road Initiative and Egypt's Vision 2030," Wang said.

The two ministers also agreed to establish a intragovernmental cooperation committee to coordinate and promote bilateral cooperations in different areas, he said.

Wang said the two countries will also make joint efforts to fight terrorism and extremism, while carrying out cooperation in terms of intelligence sharing and capacity building.

Additionally, the two sides agreed to promote the implementation of the fruits of the 2018 Beijing Summit of Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, according to Wang.

Calling Egypt as China's "good friend, good partner and good brother," Wang pledged China's continued support to Egypt, led by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, in its efforts to protect its sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, achieve successful development, and seek national rejuvenation.
