CCPIT Chairperson expressed the willingness as she was meeting with Stephen Perry, Chairman of the 48 Group Club in Beijing on December 17.

Stephen was in Beijing for the celebration of the 40th anniversary of China’s initiation of economic reform and opening up.

Gao Yan said, China and the UK are important trade cooperation partners. CCPIT and the 48 Group Club have maintained good cooperation relations for a long period of time. This year marks the 65th anniversary of the “Icebreaking Trip” for the Sino-UK trade. CCPIT is willing to cooperate with the 48 Group Club to carry out what the Chinese and British top leaders have agreed to enhance political mutual trust, deepen mutually-beneficial cooperation, jointly endorse multilateralism and free trade so as to build an open world economy.

Stephen hailed the economic progress since China carried out reform and opening up policy four decades ago, saying that the 48 Group Club will continue to be dedicated to promoting UK-China friendship.

The 48 Group Club is a British based business networking organization dating from the early 1950s and dedicated to facilitating commercial, cultural and educational relations between Britain and China by putting on events, seminars and other activities in line with its aims.
