The State Council has approved launching national pilot standardization reforms in Shanxi, Jiangsu, Shandong and Guangdong provinces, according to a document released on March 15.
The document asked the four provincial governments to implement a standardization strategy and offer replicable experiences for the comprehensive standardization reform.
They are urged to effectively organize the reform to ensure that policies, measures and targets are implemented.
The document also asked the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine to coordinate the reform and launch evaluations at the appropriate time.
