The 7th CIIE and Hongqiao Forum Promotion Symposium was jointly hosted by the China International import Expo Bureau, the Chinese Embassy in Namibia, the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai), and the Namibia Ministry of Trade and Industry on the 9th in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. China is very willing to import more high-quality goods from Namibia and is willing to help more Namibian companies enter the Chinese market.Angela Pretorius, deputy director of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Namibia, said in her speech that China has become one of Namibia's most important trading partners and has played a key role in promoting economic development, job creation and skills training.The "Belt and Road" initiative proposed by China has opened up new avenues for cooperation between the two countries and provided huge hope and potential for future economic development.Shen Jian, charge d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Namibia, said that China has become Namibia's largest source of foreign investment and second largest trading partner for many years in a row. China welcomes more Namibian products to enter the Chinese market. The two governments are currently discussing issues concerning products produced in Namibia. Negotiations are underway to export mutton, abalone, grapes, frozen lobster, etc. to China.At the promotion meeting, the Chinese working group introduced the effectiveness of the CIIE and the characteristics of each section to the guests in detail, and discussed with all parties related matters such as strengthening cooperation.
