The 12th "China Project" High-Level Forum of the World Trade Organization was held on the 25th in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.The roundtable focused on "WTO Accession and the Multilateral Trading System from an Arab Perspective" and discussed optimizing technical assistance and capacity building by sharing cases of Arab countries joining the WTO to help more regional countries join the WTO as soon as possible and benefit from it.Wang Wentao, Minister of Commerce of China, attended the opening ceremony of the high-level forum and delivered a speech.Iweala, Director-General of the WTO, and ministers of WTO members such as the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Morocco made speeches.Wang Wentao said that China has always supported the integration of developing countries, including Arab countries, into the multilateral trading system and insisted on benefiting the world with its own development.China will continue to carry out South-South cooperation within the framework of the multilateral trading system, further implement the "China Project", improve the openness, inclusiveness, universal benefit and balance of the multilateral trading system, and implement global development initiatives with practical actions. Promote the building of a global development community with a shared future.Riyad Mazur, Morocco's Minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and Digital Economy, said that China plays a pivotal role in the multilateral trading system and has made positive contributions to maintaining the multilateral trading system.During this period, Wang Wentao and Iweala signed a memorandum of understanding on the new phase of "China Project".The "China Project" roundtable has been held since 2012, and this roundtable will be held from the 24th to the 25th.
