The U.S. Congress approved a short-term appropriation bill on the 15th to maintain the continued operation of the federal government and prevent some agencies from "shutdown" due to funding issues.The bill will then be sent to President Biden for signature.On the same day, the Senate passed the bill with 87 votes in favor and 11 votes against.The day before, the bill had been passed by the House of Representatives with 336 votes in favor and 95 votes against.The bill will temporarily maintain the current funding levels of federal agencies. Some agencies and projects will receive funds to maintain operations until January 19 next year, and other agencies and projects will receive funds to maintain operations until February 2 next year.According to a short-term appropriation bill approved by the U.S. Congress in September this year, U.S. federal funds will be exhausted on November 17.
