Zhang Shizhen pointed out that in recent years, Gansu has always placed innovation drive at the core of the overall development situation, vigorously implemented the intellectual property strategy, focused on building a high-level Silk Road International Intellectual Property port, and effectively promoted the vigorous development of scientific and technological innovation and intellectual property. In particular, in 2020, Gansu provincial government and the State Intellectual Property Office officially established the provincial capital business cooperation mechanism of the Intellectual Property Work Bureau, and was approved to prepare for the establishment of China (Gansu) intellectual property protection center, which laid a new opportunity for the high-quality development of intellectual property in the province.

At the forum, Gansu Provincial Market Supervision Bureau signed cooperation agreements on Intellectual Property Cooperation and protection with Henan Center for patent examination of the Patent Office of the State Intellectual Property Office, Qinghai provincial market supervision bureau and Shaanxi Provincial Intellectual Property Office. Gansu Provincial Department of science and technology signed contracts with Youyan Technology Group Co., Ltd., mining and metallurgy Technology Group Co., Ltd., China Steel Research Technology Group Co., Ltd. and China General Academy of Mechanical Sciences Group Co., Ltd. on scientific and technological innovation cooperation between central enterprises.

In recent years, Gansu Province has always placed innovation drive at the core of the overall development. By deeply promoting the reform of system and mechanism, Gansu Province has accelerated the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into real productivity, focused on building a high-level Silk Road International Intellectual Property port, and promoted the construction of major innovation platforms such as Lanzhou Baiyin national independent innovation demonstration zone. By the end of the 13th five year plan, the contribution rate of science and technology to economic growth had risen to 55.1%.
