From May 27th to 28th, the Jiangsu Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Yangzhou Municipal Government co-hosted the "Meet the World Horticultural Exposition and Win a Good Place" economic and trade cooperation summit. Yin Jianqing, Chairman of the Jiangsu Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and Chen Kaihong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Yangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor, attended and delivered speeches. More than 200 representatives from domestic and foreign business organizations and enterprises gathered in Yangzhou to use the 2021 World Horticultural Exposition as a platform to seek opportunities for international economic and trade cooperation.
As a member unit of the Jiangsu Preparatory Work Leading Group for the Yangzhou Expo, the Jiangsu Council for the Promotion of International Trade gave full play to the role of the Yangzhou Expo platform and invited the European Unio Chamber of Commerce in China, the US-China Business Council, the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, the American Association of States in China, and Japan Trade Promotion Institutions, Japan-China Economic and Trade Center, Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Corporation, Korea Daejeon Metropolitan Government, Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong Trade Development Council and other Shanghai (Ningbo) business organizations, AstraZeneca, Itochu, Meiya, Arter Kings, Desheng, Kolon and other world top 500 and industry leading enterprises, as well as many provincial key enterprises attended the meeting. Yin Jianqing expressed in his speech that he hopes to take the Yangzhou Expo as an opportunity to actively amplify the radiation spillover effect of the Expo, deepen cooperation in various fields such as economic and trade exchanges, industrial development, cultural tourism, and promote the construction of a new dual-cycle development in Yangzhou and even Jiangsu. The pattern provides new propositions and new suggestions.
At the meeting, Su Fei, vice president of communications for the Greater China Region of Apato Trading Co., Ltd., and member of the Nanjing Chapter of the European Unio Chamber of Commerce in China, Takashima Hiroshi, director of the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Food Department of Japan External Trade Organization, and Wang Zhongya, director of Desheng (Suzhou) House Speaking separately, expressed their willingness to cooperate with Yangzhou. The Chinese and foreign parties participated in the interactive exchanges.
During the event, the participants visited the Yangzhou Expo Park and inspected some Yangzhou enterprises on the spot.
