The 129th China import and Export Fair (Canton Fair for short) will be held online from April 15-24 for 10 days. Under the current situation, continuing to hold the Canton Fair online will help consolidate the results of epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, further give full play to the role of the Canton Fair as a platform for opening up to the outside world, and maintain the smooth operation of the foreign trade industry chain and supply chain.
The theme of this year's Canton Fair is basically the same as that of the previous one. The export exhibition has 50 exhibition areas based on 16 categories of commodities, and the import exhibition has 6 major themes. All exhibition areas will be online at the same time from the opening day. Continue to set up exhibitors and exhibits display, supply and sourcing docking, cross-border e-commerce and other sections to provide information display, instant communication, appointment negotiation, trade matching, live marketing and other services. In order to consolidate and expand the results of poverty alleviation and effectively connect with rural revitalization, a special area for "Rural Revitalization" will be set up to help enterprises in poverty alleviation areas to open up international markets.
On the basis of summing up the experience of the previous two online exhibitions, this year's Canton Fair will further optimize platform functions, improve convenience and service levels, enhance user experience, and facilitate transactions between exhibitors and merchants. In order to further help enterprises to bail out and reduce their production and operation costs, the 129th Canton Fair will continue to waive exhibitors' fees, and will not charge any fees to cross-border e-commerce platforms participating in synchronized activities.
