The reporter learned from Chongqing highway logistics base that as of September 30, Chongqing cross-border highway shuttle buses had departed 7596 times, shipped 17091 international standard boxes, with a total weight of 123600 tons and a total value of 4.466 billion yuan.

On April 28, 2016, Chongqing cross-border highway shuttle bus was officially launched, mainly for Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar and other ASEAN countries. Compared with sea transportation, cross-border highway shuttle bus greatly saves the logistics time from Chongqing to ASEAN countries. Auto parts and other goods from Chongqing and surrounding provinces and cities can directly reach southeast Asia. Grain, oil, wood and other commodities from Southeast Asia can also be transported to Chongqing more conveniently and quickly, and radiate central and Western China through Chongqing's transportation network.

It is understood that Chongqing's cross-border highway shuttle bus has opened a total of 9 trunk transportation lines for ASEAN and Central Asia, realizing the full coverage of Indochina Peninsula, building a multimodal international logistics system dominated by cross-border highway transportation and supplemented by highway, railway and land and sea, and becoming an important carrier of new land and sea routes in the West.
