On September 24, 2021, the European Commission announced that at the request of the European Steel Association on August 13, 2021, the European Commission would conduct an anti-dumping investigation on electroplated chromium coated steel originating in China and Brazil. The products involved are iron or non alloy steel flat rolled products plated or coated with chromium or chromium oxide, involving products under EU CN (combined nomenclature) codes 7210 50 00 and 7212 50 20. The dumping and injury investigation period of this case is from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, and the injury analysis period is from January 1, 2018 to the end of the dumping and injury investigation period.
