The e-p bridge of feipasig River aided by China was completed and opened to traffic

On July 29 local time, the e-p bridge of fipasig River aided by the Chinese government was completed and opened to traffic. Philippine President duterte attended the unveiling ceremony and delivered a speech, expressing gratitude for China's free assistance in the construction of the e-p bridge, saying that the completion of the bridge once again demonstrated the goodwill of the Chinese government and people to the Philippines and further consolidated the friendly relations between the two countries.

Chinese ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian, Philippine official metiardi, Philippine Minister of Finance Dominguez, Philippine Minister of public manufacturing Vera, Philippine Minister of transportation Dugard and Senator Christopher Wu attended the ceremony.

The e-p bridge project is a new project to demolish the old and build a new one. The new bridge crosses both banks of the Pasig River and connects Mandaluyong city and Makati City. It has two-way four lanes. The main bridge is about 146 meters long and the total length of the route is about 506 meters. After the project is opened to traffic, the average daily traffic flow will reach 50000 vehicles. The project owner is the Philippine Ministry of public works and highways (dpwh), which is generally contracted by China Road and Bridge Engineering Co., Ltd., designed by CCCC highway planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd. and supervised by Philippine enterprises.

Duterte said that the completion of the e-p bridge marks another milestone in the "great construction and special construction" plan. The bridge will effectively alleviate traffic congestion in Manila, facilitate the flow of people and materials, and be conducive to the economic recovery of the Philippines. He expressed his gratitude to the Chinese government and people.

Huang Xi Lian said one belt, one road initiative, and the "great construction and special construction" plan, which were built in E-P, have achieved new important results, and have accumulated the arduous efforts of the two sides, especially the Chinese side. The completion of the e-p bridge means that the Sino Philippine intergovernmental cooperation project has entered a new stage of fruitful results from planning and construction. In the coming period, more Sino Philippine cooperation projects will be completed or implemented one after another.

After the ceremony, Huang Xilian accompanied duterte to walk around the e-p bridge.
