The era benchmark of independent innovation and development is one of the strategic positioning given by the state to Pudong New Area for high-level reform and opening up and building a leading area for socialist modernization. There are 100 450 supporting measures in Pudong New Area, from building a basic research platform to building a hard core industry cluster, from building a full life cycle innovation incubation system to building a full chain science and technology public service system. This expanding plan is witnessing the fission brought by innovation.

In Zhangjiang Science City, 14 major national science and technology infrastructure facilities have been built and are under construction. The number of facilities, investment amount and construction progress are leading in the country. A world-class large science facility cluster has taken shape here. Not long ago, the world's first 10 petwatt laser experimental device was officially opened to the whole society, and soon received cooperative experimental intentions from many universities and research institutions at home and abroad.

Today, Pudong takes the six hard core industries of "innovative medicine", "China core", "intelligent manufacturing", "blue sky dream", "future vehicle" and "data port" as the main direction of attack in the future. It is fully implementing the "five doubling actions" and accelerating the promotion of these key industries to reach the scale of 100 billion.
