China energy construction signed the EPC contract for the construction of thermal power plant in the

China Energy Construction Group International Engineering Co., Ltd., China energy construction North China Electric Power Design Institute and Russia fuel power complex kinetic energy Co., Ltd. signed an EPC contract for the construction of a gas-fired power plant with a power generation of 860 MW in the Republic of Moldova, Russia.

The signing ceremony of the contract was held by video conference in Moscow on July 30, and the leadership of China energy construction attended the meeting. China is the investor of the project.

Dong Bin, chairman of China energy construction, said at the signing ceremony: "the successful implementation of the project will help improve the power supply in the surrounding areas of the project, improve the basic living conditions of local people and increase local employment. The signing of this project is another model of mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Russia in the field of electric power and a major event for the benefit of China and Russia and their people. China's "one belt, one road" initiative is also a key achievement in the implementation of China's "one belt and one way" initiative, strengthening cooperation between China and Russia in terms of national capacity, and implementing Sino Russian economic, trade, mutual benefit and cooperation, and building a mutually beneficial and win-win human destiny community.

The design of the project will be undertaken by Huabei Institute. The construction of phase I will start in 2022 and be completed within 4 years.
