Yuan Rongxiang said in his speech that Hungary has a long history and diversified culture. Hungary has become the third largest trade partner and largest investment target of China in Middle and East Europe. As a large manufacturing base, Zhejiang Province has unique advantages in China and the world in the areas of textile and costume, engineering and electronics, food and beverage, electrical information, medical biology and new energy. He hopes that entrepreneurs of both China and Hungary shall enhance mutual understanding, explore new business opportunities, and increase trade and investment cooperation through this summit and industry cooperation meeting.
Wang Jinzhen said that China’s accelerating the pace of opening up to the West strategy and Hungary’s “investing into the oriental world” policy are highly compatible and the bilateral trade and economic cooperation is facing historical opportunities. More than 50 Chinese enterprises attended this summit and some of them are leading companies in China. This indicates that more and more Chinese businesses are optimistic about the economic prospect of Hungary. As the largest trade and investment promotion institution of China, the CCPIT is willing to work with Hungary to build up more communication and cooperation platforms and create more business opportunities for companies of both countries. The CCPIT will also work hard to encourage more Chinese companies to invest and do business in Hungary, promote import from Hungary and enhance communication and cooperation with Hungary’s commercial industry.
At the opening ceremony the CCPIT and Hungary Industry and Commerce Association signed the MOU. The CCPIT Zhejiang Sub-council and Hungary Industry and Commerce Association signed friendship cooperation agreement.
Ambassador Duan Jielong said in his speech that now is the best time for the relationship between China and Hungary. Hungary has safe and stable market and the local companies play a leading role in the market promotion and cooperation. He hopes that companies of both countries shall enhance friendship through larger cooperation.
Wu Guiying said that the CCPIT Zhejiang Sub-council and the CCOIC Zhejiang Sub-chamber are actively involved into the implementation of “one belt, one road” strategy and the construction of cooperation mechanism between China and Middle-Eastern Europe. The purpose of holding the business summit and Industry Cooperation meeting is to carry forward the proposal made by both governments to enhance trade and economic cooperation. The business scope of Zhejiang’s companies attending the summit includes infrastructural building, engineering manufacturing, digital information, textile and costume, energy project, business and trade services. These companies have received warm welcome from their Hungary counterparts. She hopes that Zhejiang’s companies shall work closely with Hungary’s commercial industry to enlarge trade and cooperation and promote mutual progress.
At the industry cooperation meeting, Szilárd Bolla, deputy director of Hungary Investment Promotion Institute, made an introduction to the investment environment of Hungary. Mengyi Li, Asian sales director of Hungary National Trade Commission, made an introduction of the activities organized by the commission in China. There are 84 Hungary companies and 65 Chinese companies involved in the discussion. The cooperation intention reached value of 75.3 million USD.
Before the opening ceremony started, Yuan Rongxiang, Wang Jinzhen and Duan Jielong met with Dr. László Parragh, Dr. László Szabó and other guests from Hungary. Both sides held deep communications about the enhancement of China-Hungary trade and economy and increase of industry cooperation.
